ATLANTA – The Georgia State baseball program has added two pitchers and an infielder to its 2013-14 recruiting class, head coach Greg Frady announced.
Joining the GSU program are Kenny Anderson, a left-handed pitcher from Loganville, Ga., and Gordon College; Sean Wilson, a right-handed pitcher from Lakeside High School in Atlanta; and David Levy, an infielder from Marietta, Ga., and Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) Community College.
“Each of these guys brings something different, but they all help our team,” Frady said. “We are expecting Kenny Anderson to come in and pitch on the weekend, and we're excited about that. Any time you can bring in a left-handed pitcher who has the opportunity to pitch on the weekend, you have to feel good about that. He will improve our pitching staff immediately and allow us to use some other guys in matchups.
“Sean Wilson, a right-hander, is more of a reliever, possibly a closer, but he's a big kid with a really good arm,” he continued. “David Levy adds quality depth to our middle infield.”
These three join eight signees announced earlier to give the Panthers an 11-member class entering this fall.
“We have the core of our squad returning from a team that won 35 games and accomplished a lot of really positive things. Then you add in this recruiting class, and the future is very bright for Georgia State baseball,” Frady said.
