KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Georgia State senior Eddie Wilding has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Southeast Region Second Team, the organization has announced.
Wilding, who led GSU in scoring and was second in the Sun Belt Conference, produced 21 points with six goals and nine assists to lead the Panthers to the championship match of the Sun Belt Conference. Last month, Wilding had been named to the All-Academic All-District 4 team with his 3.63 GPA.
The Felixstowe, England, native was an All-Sun Belt Conference first-team pick for the 9-8-1 Panthers, who finished No. 10 in the Region Rankings. Wilding scored two goals in the match this season as Georgia State defeated top-25 ranked Brown 3-2 to earn Region top 10 status.
“Eddie Wilding had an outstanding senior season and I am glad he has been able to close his career out with some deserving post season awards like this one,” head coach Brett Surrency said.

Wilding becomes the ninth Georgia State player since 2000 to be named All-Region by the NSCAA and makes a third consecutive year a GSU student-athlete has been chosen.
