
ATLANTA -- Forward Jeremy Hollowell is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines, after leading the Panthers to a perfect 2-0 week with a pair of 20-plus point performances against Troy and South Alabama.
The 6-8 junior opened the week by scoring 22 points with seven rebounds and four assists and just one turnover in 34 minutes in the Panthers' 72-68 win over Troy. Hollowell went 7-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point range, knocking down his first four attempts in the first eight minutes of the game. He also made 4-of-5 free throws.
On Saturday, he scored 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting with a pair of 3-pointers and a perfect 7-of-7 free throws. He added two rebounds, two steals and an assist in 34 minutes. The win was the Panthers 14th straight at home and improved GSU to 32-1 in the GSU Sports Arena since the start of the 2013-14 season.
For the season, Hollowell is averaging 15.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor, including 34.6 percent from 3-point range. He is 52-of-66 (80.0 percent) from the free throw line and has a team-high 19 steals.
