BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – Georgia State produced eight top 10 finishes on Friday in the 20-team UAB Blazer Invitational track and field meet at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Per usual, among GSU's leaders, were thrower LaPorscha Wells and sprinter Ravin Gilbert.

Wells placed second of the 35 competitors in the weight throw with the third-longest throw in school history. She tossed 18.86m (61-10.50) to finish behind a Florida State thrower. Wells holds the two longest indoor throws in school history.
