ATLANTA -- In an early Friday afternoon match against Furman, Georgia State continued to shine earning a 6-1 win to push the team's record to 3-0 this year.
The young duo of freshman Daniela Ramirez and Sophomore Kristin Rehse secured the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Furman's Bryde/Caswell team.
Senior Linn Timmermann remained in the No. 1 singles position and rolled with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
Kristin Rehse dropped her singles match in a hard fought (1-6, 7-6, 3-6) loss. Lara Vovk, Chiara Volejnicek, Daniela Ramirez, and Tarani Kamoe swept the rest of the matches, leaving the Panthers with a 5-1 finish in singles play for the day.
Georgia State will look to add another check mark in the win column as they face off against a talented South Carolina team ranked No. 29 in the nation on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
