ATLANTA – Georgia State fell to Florida International 5-2 on Friday afternoon at Dunwoody Country Club. The Panthers of Georgia State dropped the doubles point 1-2 and went 2-4 in singles competition.
Kristin Reshse and Daniela Ramirez were the lone Georgia State players to record singles victories today. Rehse rallied after dropping the first set 5-7 to win 5-7, 6-3, 10-7. Ramirez won her match in straight 6-2, 6-2 sets.
In doubles, Chiara Volejnicek and Daniela Ramirez teamed up to take down FIU's Caluk/Brozovich 6-1.
Georgia State plays Sunday at Piedmont Park versus George Washington who has a 3-1 record on the year with FIU to play on Saturday.
