Katie Worley, who pitched a no-hitter and earned a win over Georgia Tech last week, is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.

Worley threw her second career no-hitter Friday against Miami (Ohio). Worley was just one walk away from a perfect game and struck out six batters in GSU's 3-0 win.

The senior pitched a total of 15.2 innings and earned two wins with an ERA of 0.89 on the week. Worley recorded 23 strikeouts, averaging 1.51 per inning in the three appearances.

On Wednesday, she entered the game against Georgia Tech in the eighth inning and held the Yellow Jackets scoreless for five innings until GSU hit a walkoff HR in the 12th to win it.

Worley was one out shy of becoming the pitcher of record and getting a third win Sunday against Mercer.
