TROY, Ala. – No. 47 Georgia State completed a 2-0 road trip, marking the teams sixth of the season. With the win, the Panthers are now 9-3 away from Atlanta including a 3-1 record in neutral site matches.
Niri Rasolomalala and Kristin Rehse earned the first win in doubles with a 6-3 win in the second doubles position.
Linn Timmermann and Tarani Kamoe dropped a doubles match for the first time in four matches, falling in the first position 6-4.
Daniela Ramirez and Chiara Volejnicek secured the doubles point with a 6-4 win in the third position.
In singles competition, the Panthers won every match of the afternoon.
Niri Rasolomalala extended her singles winning streak to six wins with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the third position.
Lara Vovk 6-3, 6-3 as well in the fifth position singles match, snapping a streak of losses in singles competition.
Today's 7-0 sweep marks the first sweep of the season since the opening match against UAB on February 6th.
Georgia State will be back in action on Thursday with a home conference match against UL Monroe who is 10-2 (1-1) on the season.
Saturday, April 2nd will be Senior Day for the Panthers as they play host to Charlotte. That match will take place a 9 a.m. at Piedmont Park.
