ATLANTA – Georgia State fell 12-0 in five innings to fifth-ranked UL Lafayette Sunday in the series finale. The Panthers drop to 19-22 on the season and 4-8 in Sun Belt play and will host Alabama State Tuesday at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

Freshman Arden Jobe led the Panther offense with two of the team's four hits, but the Ragin' Cajuns used three home runs to fuel their production at the plate. GSU issued eight walks on the day and committed an error on defense that helped ULL close out the weekend with a win.

Ivie Drake and Morgan Brown picked up the other two Panthers hits as Brown has now reached base safely in eight of the last nine games. Drake continues to lead the team in most offensive categories and now has a hit in five straight games.

ULL scored 11 of its 12 runs in two innings, pushing six runs across the plate in the second and five in the fourth.

Georgia State is home again Tuesday as the Panthers host Alabama State for a 5 p.m. contest at Panthersville.
