* Georgia State (21-22, 4-8 SBC) visits Appalachian State this weekend for a three-game Sun Belt series.
* GSU leads the all-time series with an 8-3 record vs. the Mountaineers.
* The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and will play the finale at noon on Sunday.
ATLANTA – Riding a two-game win streak, Georgia State's softball team gets back to conference play this weekend with a three-game series at Appalachian State in Boone, N.C. The Panthers will play a doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday before meeting the Mountaineers for a Sunday finale at noon.

• Georgia State and Appalachian State meet this weekend for a three-game Sun Belt series in Boone, N.C. The Panthers and Mountaineers have played 11 games in the past with GSU holding an 8-3 record in the series.
• Georgia State has not allowed a run in 13 innings, outscoring Alabama State and Chattanooga 17-0 in two midweek contests.
• Morgan Brown has reached base in 10 of the last 11 games. Ivie Drake holds the longest current streak, reaching base in eight straight. Arden Jobe owns the team's longest hit streak at five game.
• In the fourth RPI release of the season on April 11, GSU came in at No. 54 which ranks third-highest in the Sun Belt.
• Georgia State's defense ranks 23rd in the country, averaging 0.47 double plays per game.
• Sophomore Ivie Drake leads the team in batting average (.360), slugging percentage (.672), on base percentage (.500), walks (35), and home runs (10). Drake was named an All-American as a freshman in 2015.
• Junior Kensey Caldwell leads the team with 32 RBI. Caldwell is slugging .443 this season, second-best on the squad.
• GSU's pitching staff is led by senior Katie Worley and transfer sophomore Annie Davis. Worley has both a perfect game and no-hitter to her name this season and ranks No. 23 in the country in hits allowed per seven innings (4.50). Davis has four complete games this season to go with a 3.51 ERA.
• Ivie Drake has been walked 35 times this season, an average of 0.78 a game. She ranks No. 27 in the country in walks per game.
• Georgia State has 994 wins since the first year of fast-pitch competition in 1985. The Panthers are trying to become just the 34th program to reach the 1,000 win mark.
