ATLANTA – More than 250 fans showed up for week one of the Georgia State Athletics Spring Tour, presented by the Panther Athletic Club, with a second week just on the horizon as members of the Panther Family get ready for the upcoming year.
Events at McCray's Tavern, Due South and SweetWater Brewery capped an exciting week for the annual tour. It was capped by more than 100 in attendance at the SweetWater Brewery on Thursday night, which featured Georgia State pint glasses.
Three more events are scheduled for next week, starting with the 755 Club at Turner Field on Monday night. It will be followed by Dave & Buster's on Wednesday and Taco Mac on Thursday to conclude the six tour stops.
Each stop on the tour includes Georgia State coaches Trent Miles, Ron Hunter and Sharon Baldwin-Tener.
“This past week traveling with the coaches has been a lot of fun so far,” Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development Rick Beasley said. “There are only three stops left and we encourage everyone to sign up for a nearby event to hear about the exciting things going on at Georgia State.”
