ATLANTA – Georgia State's Kristin Rehse accounted for two of the three points scored at the NCAA Tournament, earning this week's GSU NCAA Tournament Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by the U.S. Marines.

On Friday in Gainesville, Fla., Rehse paired with Niri Rasolomalala for a 7-5 doubles win over No. 25 Syracuse that clinched the doubles point for GSU and started the Panthers off with a 1-0 lead.

The 6-foot sophomore then gutted out a pair of 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles to provide Georgia State a 3-2 lead and within one point of the win that could have advanced the team.

Rehse is a sophomore from Hofheim, Germany. She finished her sophomore season at Georgia State with a 13-6 win in singles, along with a 5-4 doubles record with Rasolomalala and a doubles win with Linn Timmerman.
