CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced on Tuesday with four members of the Georgia State team earning recognition.
Rising seniors Jooeun Bae and Solene LeCoz, along with rising junior Yasemin Sari and rising sophomore Jemima Gregson all received honors.
A total of 828 student-athletes across all levels of collegiate golf were honor, each having a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
“I'm so proud of these four incredible student-athletes,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “They define everything of what it means to be a student-athlete both on the course and in the classroom. I'm so pleased they could receive this honor.”
Gregson earned All-Sun Belt Second-Team honors in her first year with the Panthers, earning Dean's List recognition in both of her first two semesters while majoring in pre-business.
Bae earned President's honors this spring and has received academic honors in all six semesters at Georgia State while working on a degree in art.
Le Coz earned the honor for a second-straight year and has now made the President's List in three-straight semesters. She is currently majoring in accounting and earned a pair of top 25 finishes on the course last season.
Sari garnered President's List honors during each of the last two semesters while beginning her degree in marketing. She finished among the top 30 in each of the five fall events for the Panthers.
The 2016-17 season is expected to get underway for Georgia State in early September.
