CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – For the second time this month, the Georgia State women's golf team has been honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) as the Panthers finished 15th for the annual All-Scholar Team GPA Award.
Georgia State finished the year with an impressive 3.716 team GPA to once again be honored among the top 25 programs in the country.
The Panthers are ranked among the likes of Duke, Baylor, Yale, Minnesota and Kentucky.
“Our team continues to show year-in and year-out how dedicated they are in the classroom,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “I'm extremely proud of our team to be recognized as one of the top 25 programs in the country.”
Earlier this month, rising seniors Jooeun Bae and Solene LeCoz, along with rising junior Yasemin Sari and rising sophomore Jemima Gregson all were honored as part of the WGCA All-America Scholar program.
Lindenwood University earned the 2015-16 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award with its 10 members earning an average GPA of 3.901.
The 2016-17 season is expected to get underway for Georgia State in early September.
