ATLANTA – Coming off a sixth place finish earlier this week, the Georgia State women's golf team will return to the course for the Pinehurst Challenge hosted by the College of Charleston starting Monday.
The 19-team field will play 54 holes over two days at Pinehurst #1 as a part of the Pinehurst Resort. Teams will utilize a shotgun start both Monday and Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m.
Freshman Harmanprit Kaur, who has three top 25 finishes already this season, leads the Panthers with a 74.45 scoring average, while sophomore Jemima Gregson led the Panthers earlier this week with an 18th place finish at the Jacksonville Classic.
“We have started to see some really good results with the hard work and mental game items we have worked on,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “Now the key is to put it all together for three rounds. We need to keep building consistency and if we do that over 54 holes, I think we can have some great results.”

The field for this year's event includes host College of Charleston, Auburn, Charleston Southern, East Carolina, Elon, High Point, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Morehead State, UNC Greensboro, North Florida, Old Dominion, Samford, Stetson, William & Mary and Wichita State.
