What you need to know
* The Panthers will compete in the Charlotte Open this weekend.
* Abhin Sharma, Valentin Horvat, Felipe Jaworski, and Giles Hussey will make the trip to Charlotte, N.C.
* This is the first of the final two fall tournaments for the Panthers.
ATLANTA- The Georgia State men's tennis team will send four student-athletes to the Charlotte Open hosted by Charlotte. Abhin Sharma, Valentin Horvat, Felipe Jaworski, and Giles Hussey will compete in the tournament.
Jaworski and Hussey most recently competed in the ITA Regional Tournament hosted by Florida State, while Sharma and Horvat most last played in the Mercer Gridiron Classic.
In singles play, both Jaworski and Hussey will compete in the A1 Singles bracket beginning at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. Jaworski will face Josh Swindler of UNC Asheville while Hussey will face Shamael Chaudry of Davidson.
Sharma will open his play in the A1 Singles bracket at 1:30 p.m. against No. 2 Henry Patten of UNC Asheville. Horvat will round out singles play at 3 p.m. in the B2 Singles bracket against No. 4 Stefano Puga of Gardener-Webb.
In doubles play, Sharma and Horvat will be paired together in the A2 Doubles bracket at 9 a.m. against Patten and Swindler. Jaworski and Hussey will compete in the B2 Doubles bracket, facing Alex Pavkovich and and Alex Brea of Appalachian State.
The Charlotte Open will begin Friday morning and conclude on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers will compete in one more fall tournament, closing out fall play at the Wake Forrest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
