ATLANTA – Georgia State men's golf's Nick Budd is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.

Budd won the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate and finished tied for 40th at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on Sunday to conclude a busy week for the Panthers. The win was the first of Budd's career as he shot 67-69-68--204 at the Grandover Resort.

After a day back in Atlanta, the sophomore from Woodstock, Ga. helped the Panthers to a tie for eighth place finish of 24 teams in Hawai'i. Budd shot 78-68-69--215. He has shot in the 60s in six of his last seven rounds, including five of six last week.

The Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic concluded men's golf's fall season as the team prepares for an exciting spring slate beginning on Feb. 21st against South Alabama.
