NOTING THE PANTHERS

From Downtown: Junior Makeba Ponder has proven to be a sharpshooter from three point range in her first two seasons on Decatur St. Ponder has led the Sun Belt Conference in most 3-point baskets made per game in each of the last two seasons (2.46 per game as a freshman and 2.30 as a sophomore).

Entering this season, she had already produced 122 3-point baskets to rank No. 5 in school history with two seasons to go...Chasing leader Kendra Long with 221 (2011-14) and runner-up Kelcey Roegiers-Jensen with 154 (2003-07).

Her 69 3-point baskets as a freshman tied the school mark for a season (Carmelita Layog, 2000) and her 53 as a sophomore were ninth-most made in a season in school history.

Chasing 1,000 Rebounds: Graduate transfer Tiffany Holston surpassed the 900-rebound mark Friday against Morehead State and currently sits at 913. Holston averaged 10.8 rebounds per game over three seasons at Albany State.

Seen Worldwide: For the second-straight year, all Georgia State home games will air live on ESPN3 this season. With the program's rise, nearly every game will be seen worldwide this year. Of the Panthers' 29 games, 14 are currently scheduled to air live.

Sam Crenshaw returns for the second year of calling play-by-play for Georgia State women's basketball games. He will be joined once again by former Panther and current Senior Woman Administrator Kelcey Rogiers for color commentary.
