What you need to know:
* The Panthers head to Mobile, Ala. to play three matches in as many days this weekend. Having won five of its last six matches, GSU will look to extend its win streak to four.
* Head coach Jason Marshall and Georgia State (10-7, 2-2) meet South Alabama Friday and Appalachian State Saturday. First serve is for both matches is set for 2 p.m. ET. The Panthers round out the Sun Belt Shootout with Coastal Carolina Sunday at 8 a.m.
* After the Coastal Carolina match, Georgia State will rest up for the Sun Belt Tournament from April 20-23 in New Orleans, La.
MOBILE, Ala. – Having won five of their last six matches, the Georgia State Panthers will look to keep their three-match win streak alive this weekend. GSU is set to battle South Alabama, Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina from April 7th-9th in the Sun Belt Shootout.
The Panthers defeated Troy and Georgia Southern in Statesboro two weekends ago before routing UAB 5-2 at Piedmont Park last week.
Freshman Arina Taluyenko continues to put together a remarkable campaign. The Almaty, Kazakhstan native has team-best 13-2 singles record on the year and a combined nine wins in doubles. Taluyenko currently has a seven-match win streak in singles.
Junior Kristin Rehse has also been consistent all season with an 8-3 record in singles play and nine doubles wins of her own.
Host South Alabama has won seven straight matches and is undefeated at 9-0 when playing on its home courts. The Jaguars (15-4, 3-0) have not lost a match since February 25th at Oklahoma.
The Appalachian State Mountaineers have lost seven consecutive matches. The Mountaineers (4-16) defeated North Carolina Central 6-1 on March 4th to pick up their last win.
Under head coach Catherine Hewitt, Coastal Carolina has posted a 7-1 record at home. The Chanticleers (14-4, 1-1) edged Emory University 4-3 on April Fool's Day in their last match. From Feb. 19th to March 17th, Coastal won seven matches in a row including wins over East Carolina, Richmond and Wofford.
First serve between the Panthers and Jaguars is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Friday.
