Panthers Play at Tech for ITA Regionals

ATLANTA- The Georgia State men's tennis team will head down the road for ITA Regionals hosted by Georgia Tech. The team will send seven Panthers to the tournament where 14 other schools will participate.

In the qualifying round for singles play, Kevin Huynh will play Niclas Genovese of Miami (Fla.) and Andrei Duarte will face Hema Hasona of Florida A&M. Giles Hussey will play as the No. 7 seed, earning a bye and facing either Pablo Aycart of Miami (Fla.) or Brandon Freestone of Georgia Tech.

In the main singles draw, Jack MacFarlane will play a student-athlete from the qualifying bracket. Sebastian Acuna will face Michael Kay and Andrei Andrukhou will paly Daniel Yun, both of Georgia Tech, while Quentin Coulaud will see action against Alex Knaff of Florida State.

The Panthers will play three pairs in doubles play, with Andrukhou and Coulaud earning a bye and playing as the No. 15 seed. Hussey and Hunyh also earned a bye, while Acuna and MacFarlane will face Ignacio Garcia and Anthony Schohn of Florida Atlantic.

Play will begin on Oct. 13 and will conclude on Oct. 17.
