Panthers With Strong Showing at Jaguar Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Georgia State's indoor track and field team competed at the Jaguar Invite Sunday, hosted by South Alabama at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Rashell Reid set a new personal best in the weight throw Sunday, placing second with a throw of 18.68m. That distance ranks third among Sun Belt athletes this season.

Mile:     5th – Angela Alonso (5:00.14)

             7th – Nuria Ramirez (5:00.49)

             8th – Lotte Meyberg (5:01.72)

Shot Put: 5th – Kiona Bradshaw (13.69m)

Weight Throw: 2nd – Rashell Reid (18.68m)

800m:   7th – Nuria Ramirez (2:15.18)

             8th – Angela Alonso (2:16.02)

Georgia State competes again Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex in the Bulldog Invitational.
