NEW ORLEANS - Ivie Drake was named Sun Belt Player of the Week after leading Georgia State to a series win at ULM, the conference announced Tuesday.
Drake hit three home runs with five RBI while going 5-for-10 at the plate with three runs scored and two walks in three games at ULM.
Drake led the Panthers to a series win over the Warhawks as she belted two home runs in Game 2 of the series and hit her third dinger of the weekend in Game 3 on Sunday.
She slugged 1.400 during the series and recorded an RBI in all three contests.
On Sunday, she picked up her 60th RBI of the season marking the sixth time in school history a Panther has reached 60 RBI in a season. She's done it twice in her career. Drake now has 18 home runs on the season and is slugging a remarkable .930.
The Panthers will return to the field on Wednesday to host Chattanooga at 4 p.m. Georgia State will conclude the regular season hosting in-state rival Georgia Southern beginning on Friday.
