ATLANTA – The Georgia State men's soccer team capped its second exhibition vs. North Florida in a 1-1 draw. The two teams played two 45-minute halves and mixed and matched lineups throughout the match.

Max Hemmings zipped a nearly perfect pass to Aris Briggs who weaved through traffic and netted the first goal of the game in the 10th minute to put GSU ahead 1-0. The two teams traded shots throughout the first half, but neither was able to get on the board for the next 35 minutes.

North Florida tied the game at one in the 55th minute when Ivan Castro headed a pass from Nick Lodovico past the outstretched arm of the Georgia State keeper. GSU made one final push in the closing seconds of the match, but the game-winning shot from Max Wilkins sailed wide left as time expired.

The Panthers finished the exhibition with nine total shots and four on goal, while North Florida had seven total shots and only one on goal. Each team fired four shots in the second half.

Georgia State wraps up the preseason with a trip to Jekyll Island, Ga. for three days of training and their final exhibition against Jacksonville on Saturday. The Panthers then open the regular season Aug. 24 at Central Arkansas.
