Panthers Place Seventh at Texas A&M Invite

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Georgia State's cross country team competed Saturday morning at the Texas A&M Invitational, finishing seventh in the 6K at the Watts Cross Country Course.

Lotte Meyberg's time of 22:48.50 was GSU's best finish, good enough for 21st. Angela Alonso finished close behind Meyberg with a time of 23:05.42 and Marine Garnier placed 33rd, running the 6K in 23:08.59.

Mary Valli (23:38.80) and Nuria Ramirez (23:46.34) rounded out the top five finishers for Georgia State.

GSU totaled 173 team points, finishing just behind sixth-place Houston and ahead of eighth-place Abilene Christian.

Georgia State returns from Texas to compete a little closer to home next Saturday at the USC Upstate Invite in Spartanburg, S.C.
