QUICK NOTES
• Georgia State makes its first road trip of the season this weekend to the Sunshine State. The Panthers will play at FAU Saturday and at FIU on Monday.
• The Gene Hill era got off to a strong start on Wednesday as GSU defeated UNCG 70-63 in the season opener. Walnatia Wright led GSU in both scoring and rebounding, finishing with a double-double at 15 points and 11 rebounds.
• New head coach Gene Hill is the 10th head coach in GSU program history. He sits at 1-0 now after Wednesday's victory.
• While the coaching staff is new, the Panthers return 10 players from last season including four starters.
• Veterans K.K. Williams and Kierra Henry have played a combined 163 games in a GSU uniform. Of GSU's eight seniors this year, Henry and Williams are the two that started their careers at GSU.
• Kierra Henry led the team in scoring last season (14.2 ppg) and led the Sun Belt in free throw shooting (81%).
• After sitting out last season due to transfer rules, forwards Allison Johnson and Walnatia Wright look to bolster the GSU roster and bring depth to the post positions. Wright totaled a double-double in her debut on Wednesday and Johnson came up just shy with nine rebounds and eight points.
• Redshirt sophomore Jada Lewis returns after missing nearly all of last season due to injury. Lewis was honored as the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year for the 2016-17 season.

• All GSU home games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ this season.
