ATLANTA-Kerem Daser will not return as Georgia State men's soccer head coach in order to pursue other coaching opportunities.

Daser served 10 seasons as the Panthers' head coach, compiling a record of 67-99-11, including a 4-11-1 mark in 2009.

"We want to thank Kerem for his years of service to Georgia State University and our soccer program. He loves to teach the game of soccer, and we wish him well in his future endeavors with his sport," said Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick.

Daser, who coached 30 all-conference players and 12 all-freshman honorees, guided Georgia State to a conference title and NCAA berth in 2000 in his first season at the helm. He also spent three seasons (1997-99) as a GSU assistant coach.

"I have really enjoyed my 13 years at Georgia State," said Daser. "I have been fortunate to be part of conference championship teams as a head and assistant coach.

"I appreciate the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people, especially all the student-athletes who have come through our program. I wish the best for the program, and I am looking forward to my next challenge."
