Georgia State women's tennis completed day three of the ITA Regionals on Sunday at UGA. The day was highlighted by a consolation quarterfinals win by Lara Vovk and Kristin Rehse over a pair from Kennesaw State.

Panthers Battle in Round Two of ITA Regional

Georgia State women's tennis competed in day two of the ITA Regionals Saturday in Athens, Georgia. Lara Vovk and Kristin Rehse picked up a win in the doubles consolation round of 16, and Damira Muminovic earned a win in the singles consolation round of 16.

Rehse Shines in Day one of ITA Regionals

Georgia State women's tennis began play in the ITA Regionals Friday in Athens, Georgia. Senior Kristin Rehse won both of her singles matches to advance to tomorrow's round of 16. Rehse and teammate Lara Vovk teamed up to win their opening round doubles match and will look to advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow. Arina Taluyenko and Daniela Ramirez have withdrawn from the tournament due to injuries.

Vovk Wins Twice at ITA Regional

Lara Vovk both of her singles matches Thursday in the qualifying round of the ITA Southeast Regional. The junior began the day by defeating Florida A&M's Haleigh Porter (6-1, 6-1). The afternoon session saw Vovk defeat Grace Korta of Mercer (6-2, 7-6).

Six Panthers to Compete at ITA Regionals

Georgia State women's tennis will have six student-athletes compete in the ITA Regional this weekend in Athens. Daniela Ramirez, Lara Vovk, Elizabet Danailova, Kristin Rehse, Arina Taluyenko, and Damira Muminović will represent the Panthers. GSU is one of seventeen schools represented in the tournament.

GSU Alum Reaches Finals in Australia

Former Georgia State women's tennis player Abigail Tere-Apisah finished second in a $25k tournament in Queensland, Australia over the weekend. Tere-Apisah fell in three sets (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) to Olivia Rogowska. Tere-Apisah and partner, Naiktha Bains won the doubles portion of the tournament.

Taluyenko Wins Metroplex Mania Tournament

Georgia State women's tennis finished play at the Metroplex Mania tournament Sunday afternoon. The tournament was highlighted by Arina Taluyenko's winning of the number one singles flight.

The 2017-18 season got underway for Georgia State women's tennis team, Friday afternoon at Metroplex Mania. All eight student athletes on the active roster participated in day one of tournament action. As a team GSU won two of their three doubles matches, and four of their seven singles matches.

GSU Set for Trip to SMU

Georgia State women's tennis is on the road this weekend for the Metroplex Mania tournament hosted by SMU. The three-day tournament will take place Friday-Sunday at the SMU Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas. The first two days will see play begin at noon eastern, action will start at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Ramirez Wins Season Opener

The fall 2017 season got off to a great start for Georgia State women's tennis as Daniela Ramirez won the singles title at the tournament hosted by Georgia Southern this weekend. Ramirez defeated fellow Panther, Damira Muminovic to claim the championship. Ilona Golynker also participated in the tournament for GSU.

Women's Tennis Announces Difficult Spring Schedule

Looking to replicate the success of a 13-9 2017 season, Georgia State women's tennis unveiled the 2018 schedule Friday morning. The Panthers will compete in 23 scheduled matches, as well as the SMU Winter Invitational on January 12-14 to kick off the campaign. After the opening weekend tournament, GSU will travel to Auburn to face off against the Tigers as well as Oklahoma and UL-Monroe.

Women's Tennis Adds Leatu to Staff

Georgia State women's tennis is happy to announce the addition of new assistant Alex Leatu to the Panther family. Leatu will work with head coach Jason Marshall on player development and recruiting.
