The Georgia State football team will open its first spring practice under new head coach Shawn Elliott on Monday, March 20. The Panthers' Blue-White Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, at a time and location to be announced.
Before kicking off the 2017 football season in the new Georgia State Stadium this fall, the Department of Athletics announced on Tuesday the formation of the Panthers Fan Council to give fans, alums, staff and community the opportunity to assist in various initiatives and topics for the new stadium.

Georgia State safety Bryan Williams will return to play for the Panthers in 2017 after he was granted a sixth season of eligibility by the NCAA. He will be the first sixth-year player for Georgia State football.
Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott has completed his first coaching staff, led by offensive coordinator Travis Trickett and defensive coordinator Nate Fuqua.
The 2016 season has been a successful one for the three Georgia State football alumni who were active in the NFL this year, including one who looks ahead to the playoffs.
