Jacob Lonowski joined the Georgia State Athletics Department in August 2011 as a Graduate Assistant before being promoted to Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2014 and again to Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports in August 2015.
During his time at Georgia State, Lonowski has worked with Men's Golf, Men's Tennis, Women's Track & Field, Baseball, Softball, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Court and Beach Volleyball. He currently works with the latter four teams and has contributed to two Sun Belt Conference team championships, five Sun Belt Conference team championship runners-up, six Sun-Belt Conference individual champions and five Sun-Belt Conference individual runners-up.
Lonowski played football at Georgia Tech from 2004-07 where he took part in four consecutive bowl appearances as an offensive lineman.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Georgia Tech in Business Management in 2008 with a Specialization in Information Technology Management. In May 2014 he completed a Master's of Science from Georgia State in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Exercise Physiology.
Jacob is currently certified by the NSCA as a CSCS and by the CSCCa as a SCCC. He also frequently collaborates with the Kinesiology & Health Department at Georgia State and contributes to the curriculum by guest teaching and lecturing.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, Lonowski was raised in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and is son to Terri & John Lonowski.
