Adam Colon has been a member of the Georgia State athletics staff since June 2015 and is currently serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. He serves as the athletic trainer for the GSU baseball team for 2016-17 after working with men and women’s tennis and football the previous year.
Colon is working toward a Master of Science in sports medicine at GSU and plans to graduate in May of 2017. He came to Atlanta after two years as an intern at Yale, working primarily with track & field, lacrosse and tennis. Colon was responsible for all aspects of sports medicine for six teams during that time.
Prior to his internship, Colon earned dual degrees in athletic training and sports medicine, along with health science at Quinnipiac. During that time, he worked with the men’s lacrosse team and women’s field hockey teams. He also had an opportunity to work with Colorado football during the preseason.
A native of Hamden, Conn., Colon is First AID CPR and AED Certified and also has his Graston M1 certification.
