Krista Nordby joined the Georgia State Department of Athletics in November of 2015 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach working directly with the volleyball, tennis and golf programs. She currently works with track & field and cross country, along with both tennis and golf.
Nordby came to Atlanta following a year as the strength and conditioning coach at her alma mater Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she worked with the men's basketball team. Prior to that she was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of North Florida working directly with court and beach volleyball, both soccer teams and the swimming and diving program.
Nordby served as a graduate assistant at Baylor from 2010-12 while earning her master's degree. During that time she worked with both the men's and women's basketball teams.
Nordby earned a B.S. in exercise science and sports administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009, before finishing her masters in exercise physiology at Baylor in 2012. While at IUP she played both volleyball and basketball.
The native of Elderton, Penn., has CSCS and USAW certifications.
