TROY, Ala.- The Georgia State women’s soccer team fell 3-0 at Troy Thursday night.

With the loss, the Panthers fell to 3-9-2 (1-5-1 SBC) and the Trojans improved to 6-8-2 (4-3 SBC).

Troy got on the board early in the match, scoring off a deflection from the GSU defense at the two-minute mark. The Trojans struck again quickly, netting the ball at the 10-minute mark.

The Panthers looked to overcome the deficit coming out of the half, but Troy put the game away in the 62nd minute.

GSU fired six shots against Troy, but three Trojan saves kept the Panthers off the board. Junior Caitlin Ray led the team’s shot count with two.

Georgia State will return to the field Sunday afternoon to close out its road slate at rival Georgia Southern.
