ATLANTA- Following a tough 4-3 loss at Clemson Friday night, the Georgia State men’s tennis team will host Louisville at LifeTime Fitness in Norcross, Ga. Sunday afternoon in the team’s home opener.

The Panthers are 4-5 on the season following two hard-fought losses against Power-5 opponents on the road. Georgia State put up a fight against Clemson but fell in the final match in the tiebreaker set.

Andrei Andrukhou and Quentin Coulaud earned a huge win over the Tigers to clinch the doubles point, rallying from a 4-1 deficit at the No. 1 position to win 7-6.

Sebastian Acuna continues to lead GSU in singles play, going 5-1 to close out road play. The senior had a key win over Clemson, tying the match 3-3 and giving the Panthers a chance to clinch the victory.

Junior Giles Hussey is also starting the season off right in singles play, with a 3-2 record heading into the home opener. The Swindon, England native earned the other singles point over Clemson, rallying from being down a set and defeating Yizhou in the third set.

Louisville is 5-3 in dual play, bring a two-match win-streak to the Panthers. The Cardinals are home to two ranked doubles teams, with Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and Parker Wynn coming in at No. 18 and George Hedley and Federico Gomez ranking No. 52.
