ATLANTA (July 21, 2009) – Georgia State University women’s basketball head coach Lea Henry has announced the hiring of Kelcey Roegiers-Jensen as the administrative assistant for women’s basketball.
She will also assist the staff in game operations preparation.

Roegiers-Jensen graduated from Georgia State in 2007 and went on to play professional basketball in Sweden. The guard from St. Petersburg, Fla. (Boca Ciega HS) was a two-time All-CAA player for coach Henry.

She set the Georgia State record for most three-point baskets made (154), was third all-time in assists (478) and ninth all-time in scoring (1,360). As a senior, Roegiers-Jensen was fifth in the nation in assists (6.6) and 39th in the nation in scoring (18.0). She was Georgia State’s female student-athlete of the year at the 2007 awards banquet.

Roegiers-Jensen finished strong with four 30-plus point scoring games among her final dozen regular season games at State (33 vs. Hofstra, 32 vs. VCU, 31 vs. Towson and 30 vs. UNC Wilmington) to add to her pair of 30-point scoring games as a junior.

“Kelcey was a major contributor to our program as a player and we welcome her to the staff now to help us prepare and grow our program,” Henry noted. “Her knowledge of basketball, Georgia State and the CAA will help us in a variety of ways. We are glad to have her back after her pro career."
