Atlanta (September 25) The Georgia State men's soccer team has moved up its conference home opener against Hofstra on Sat. Sept. 26 to 2 p.m. at Panthersville. With some bad weather in the area the Panthers are hoping by moving the game time to 2 p.m. they can get the match in before the rain hits.
Saturday's conference home opener is alway International night for the Panther's fans to come support the men's soccer team looking to open up 1-0 against Hofstra. Game time has been changed to 2 p.m.
Georgia State has been led by the freshmen class this season with seven starters being freshmen. Also out of the six Panther goals this season five of them have been scored by a freshman accounting for 83 percent of the scoring. Four freshmen have at least one goal including Yasser Majluf leading the team with two goals and four points. The three other freshmen players who have scored are midfielder Gimel Gordon, defender Peter Vania, and forward Caleb Kernan. Starting goalie freshman Vincent Foermer has 13 saves on the season and a 1.18 goals against average.
Come out and support the Panthers at 2 p.m. at Panthersville when they take on Hofstra tomorrow.
