ATLANTA--Georgia State student-athletes from all sports will host an indoor picnic with Big Brothers-Big Sisters Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Georgia State Sports Arena.
PLEASE NOTE: This event was originally scheduled to take place at Panthersville before Saturday's Georgia State men's soccer game, but it has been moved indoors to the Sports Arena due to wet field conditions and the threat of more rain.
Young people with their Big Brothers and Big Sisters will enjoy inflatable games, a DJ, dance contests, salsa dancers, cheerleaders, raffles, carnival games and free pizza. Georgia State student-athletes, including members of the football and basketball teams, will be playing games with the children and signing autographs.
Representatives from the GSU offices of admissions and financial aid will also be on hand with information about attending college.
Admission is free for all Big and Little Brothers and Sisters. The Sports Arena is located at 125 Decatur Street, Atlanta, GA 30303, a short walk from the Big Brothers-Big Sisters offices. Attendees can park for free in the Big Brothers-Big Sisters parking deck at 100 Edgewood Avenue and walk or shuttle over. Additional parking is also available for $2.25 in the "G Deck" directly across from the Sports Arena.
