Megan Darrah was named Director of Basketball Operations in July.

Darrah was a four-year basketball letterwinner at the University of Georgia (2004-08) and played a season of professional basketball in Aviles, Spain.

She earned her master’s degree at the University of Alabama in sports management and spent the past year working as a marketing assistant.

“Megan played at the highest collegiate level and excelled so I feel confident her strong work ethic and knowledge of college basketball will help our Georgia State program grow,” Baldwin-Tener said. “She is a native of this area and wanted to be an integral part of our plans for success. With her energy, knowledge and skills, I think this is a perfect fit for her and for Georgia State.”

Darrah had her jersey retired at East Coweta High after she scored 1,637 career points and was the Fayette County Player of the Year as a senior when she averaged 25 points a game.

At UGA, Darrah was a three-year starter and team captain in 2007-08 for a top 20-ranked Bulldogs team. She was voted to the SEC All-Freshman team and was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll two years as a management major.

Her basketball experience includes two summers with Collegiate Prep Basketball Academy, organizing weekly basketball summer camps for youth.

The native of Moreland, Ga. was born on December 6, 1985 to Tommy and Becky Darrah.
