Panthers Host Alabama A&M Tuesday

ATLANTA – The Georgia State women's soccer team will play its final home non-conference match on Tuesday when it takes on Alabama A&M at 6 p.m. at Panthersville.

Tuesday's game marks only the second time these two teams have met. The teams first met in 2003 when Georgia State traveled to Mobile, Ala. to compete in the Nike Port City Classic. The Panthers walked away with a 1-0 victory against the Bulldogs and the eventual title of the tournament.

Entering into Tuesday's game, sophomore Sarah Bennett and freshman Jewel Evans both sit atop the leader board in goals scored with three and two, respectively. Sophomore Jocelyn Baker has helped to contribute to some of those points scored, leading the team in assists with three.

Georgia State (3-1) enters Tuesday night's match-up coming off a disappointing loss to 25th-ranked Georgia. This game also marks the end of the Panthers non-conference home matches. Following the game versus Alabama A&M, Georgia State will spend two weekends on the road before returning to Panthersville to begin conference play.

Alabama A&M (0-5) travels to Panthersville unable to capture a win thus far this season. The Bulldogs made an earlier trip to Georgia this season when they competed against Kennesaw State and were met with defeat, losing 0-6.

Admission and parking for Tuesday's game is free. Live stats for the game against Alabama A&M will be available on www.GeorgiaStateSports.com. A full wrap-up and results will be available Tuesday night following the game.
