The Georgia State University Department of Athletics has announced that registration for the second annual Great Baby Race is now open. Ten babies will be selected for this year's race and will compete for various prizes.
The race will take place during halftime of the Georgia State men's basketball game against Delaware on Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. in the GSU Sports Arena.
Parents can register their baby by submitting a photo of the infant, along with the baby's full name, age and appropriate contact information to GSUPanthers2010@gmail.com. Parents are also asked to include in 50 words or less, why the baby should be picked to compete in this year's baby race.
All registrations must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 17 to be considered.

In the inaugural Great Baby Race, then 16-month-old Joshua Reese of Austell, Ga. won in a photo finish over runner-up Emma Madison, a then 13-month old from Atlanta.
