Fan Appreciation Day Set for Saturday at 2

ATLANTA - In conjunction with Georgia State's final football game of the 2011 season against Campbell on Nov. 19, the Panthers will host Fan Appreciation Day, giving the fans an opportunity to win great prizes and get free gifts just for showing up at the final game.

Georgia State has partnered with Georgia's Own Credit Union to give up to 100 lucky students the chance to pick up as much cash as possible during the $5,000 halftime cash drop.

To be one of the 100 students selected, students must sign up before tip of the men's basketball regular season home opener on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the GSU Sports Arena. Doors open for the game at 6 p.m. To prove they are real fans, students must re-sign-in at halftime of the game. The last key to being selected will be to check-in at Gate A of the Georgia Dome between 12:30 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 to receive a wristband to get on the field at halftime.

A total of 100 GSU students will be selected to go on the field at halftime to pick up as many cash vouchers as possible as part of the Georgia's Own Credit Union Cash Drop.

Georgia's Own Credit Union will also be giving away 500 koozies at Gate A before the game.

The Georgia Lottery has also partnered with Georgia State to give away two iPads during the final game of the season as part of Georgia Lottery Mania. The first 3,000 fans through Gate A and Gate D will also receive a Georgia Lottery t-shirt and a Georgia Lottery Free Play card.

Finally, all GSU students who are seniors will receive a free gift upon arrival from Shane Company if they stop by the marketing table and register at Gate A.

One lucky fan will also have an opportunity to win $25,000 from Nalley Honda and the GSU Bookstore through the Panther Pick-up Punt Challenge by punting a ball into the bed of a Honda Ridgeline.

Fans can sign-up at the GSU Bookstore located on campus for a chance to be picked to kick a 40-yard punt into the truck bed. Fans can also sign-up outside Gate D beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. Registration closes at kick-off, which will be 2 p.m. as the Panthers take on Campbell.

The fan will have the opportunity to punt the ball 40 yards into the bed of the truck. If the ball lands and stays in the truck bed, the fan wins the $25,000.

If the fan doesn't make it on the first kick, they will be given a second opportunity to win a prize courtesy of the GSU Bookstore.
