CAA First Look with Softball Pitcher Alana Thomas

ATLANTA — In anticipation of the 2012 softball season, Georgia State senior pitcher Alana Thomas was featured by the conference in the CAA First Look video series.

WeAreTheCAA.com is a website designed exclusively for CAA student-athletes and their supporters. All content featured on the site is created for and by CAA student-athletes.

In 2011, Thomas was named the CAA Tournament Most Valuable Player, pitching three games against rival Hofstra including a complete game, three-hit victory over the Pride to clinch the conference title.

By winning the CAA title, Georgia State earned a berth in the NCAA tournament. The Panthers played the regional round in Athens, Ga., which is by coincidence, Thomas' hometown.

In the video, Thomas discusses the team's performance in both the CAA and NCAA tournaments as well as her battle with scoliosis and the upcoming softball season.
