Erik Paz
Position: Assistant Athletics Director

Erik Paz joined the Georgia State Athletic Department in 2012 and currently serves as Assistant A.D. for Compliance. He supervises a staff of two fulltime compliance professionals plus several interns and is the day-to-day compliance contact for all internal and external constituents. He directly prepares NCAA legislative waivers to assist teams and also investigates and self-reports potential rules violations to the NCAA. Paz also played a key role in the university and athletic department's completion of it's transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision in 2014. 

Before joining the Panther administration, Paz served nearly four years at assistant compliance director at Marshall. With the Thundering Herd, he also worked with all sports and developed expertise in recruiting, initial and continuing eligibility, and financial aid. Before going to Marshall in May 2008, Paz spent one year as a compliance intern at Miami (Fla.)

A native of Miami, Fla., Paz earned his bachelor's degree in sport administration from Miami in May 2008, and he added a master's degree in sport administration from Marshall in December 2008.
