AT GEORGIA STATE: Left-handed hitting catcher who will go down as one of the most productive and highly decorated student-athletes in Georgia State baseball history, both on the field and in the classroom ... Two-time Academic All-American and two-time semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award as the nation’s top catcher ... The only first-team Academic All-American in Georgia State baseball history. Among all GSU sports, he is just the third student-athlete to be named a first-team Academic All-America and one of just four multi-year Academic All-Americans ... Selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in Round 31 of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.

Ranked in the top 10 in the Sun Belt with a .325 batting average, 11 homers, 13 doubles, 45 RBI and 35 runs scored ...Threw out 14 of 40 runners attempting to steal and had three pickoffs ... Suffered a hand injury May 8 at Texas State and missed the final eight games ... Started behind the plate in the season finale (May 21 at Georgia Southern) and left the game after one batter to an ovation from teammates and fans ... More walks/hit by pitch than strikeouts.

Named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and Community Coffee Sun Belt Conference Student-Athlete of the Week (April 11) after hitting four homers in four games while batting .500 (7-for-14) with eight RBI and five runs scored ... Homered twice at Auburn (4-5-16) with a two-run blast in the third and a solo shot in the eighth ... Followed with two homers in the Little Rock series, giving him four in four games ... Had a run-scoring single and a ninth-inning solo homer in 7-5 win at Little Rock (4-8-16). Then had another RBI-single and a two-run blast in the ninth inning in 9-7 loss.

Had five hits and five RBI in ULM series. Contributed two run-scoring singles in 7-3 win (4-15-16), then hit a three-run homer in Sunday’s 5-3 loss (4-17-16) ... Hit his 11th homer and drove in three runs in Friday night win over Appalachian State (4-22-16), when he caught Wayne Wages’ near-perfect, one-hit shutout.

Had three hits, including a three-run homer in the first inning, at No. 13 Georgia Tech (3-1-16) ... Homered twice in the Coppin State series ... Threw out three of six base stealers and picked another runner off first base in the Minnesota series (March 4-6) ... Reached base all four times with a single, double, walk and hit by pitch in win over Mercer (3-8-16). Was intentionally walked in the first inning ... Drove in the go-ahead run against Jackson State (3-14-16), starting a seven-run eighth inning that broke a 4-4 tie ... Hit an inside-the-park homer vs. Arkansas State (3-20-16) when the left fielder crashed into the wall ... Had a homer and a run-scoring double at UL Lafayette.

Singled home the tying run in the top of the ninth inning in 10-6 come-from-behind win at Mercer (3-30-16). Had three hits and three runs scored in the game ... In 8-7 win over UT Arlington (4-3-16), he drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning.

2015: Second-team Capital One Academic All-American, just the second Academic All-American in the baseball program's history ... Semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award as the top catcher in Division I ... Earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors for the second straight year. ... Hit .302 with seven homers and 39 RBI ... Had two two-homer games and five games with three or more RBI ... More walks/hit by pitch (28) than strikeouts (25) ... Threw out 25 runners attempting to steal (35 percent), plus three pickoffs, and had a .987 fielding percentage ... Iron man behind the plate who played in all 57 games and caught nearly every inning of every game.

Had a remarkable game at Mercer (2-17-15) when he hit a grand slam, a two-run homer and a run-scoring single, finishing 3-for-4 with seven RBI ... Added three RBI in win over Ohio (2-28-15) ... In extra-inning win at Arkansas State (3-15-15), he drove in the tying run in the eighth inning with a sacrifice fly. He added an RBI in GSU’s 6-3 win in Game 2 of the doubleheader.

Homered twice in win over Florida A&M (3-17-15) with a solo shot and a two-run blast ... Had a single, a double and a triple at Savannah State (3-18-15) ... Had three hits and three RBI vs. Alabama A&M (3-24-15) ... Had seven hits in the UT Arlington series, helping GSU to a sweep.

Homered twice and drove in four in series sweep of ULM ... Hit a solo homer in the eighth inning of GSU’s 7-6 win in Game 1, then added another solo blast in 9-0 Sunday victory ... Drove in two runs with a first-inning double in the series-opening 6-2 win over Georgia Southern (5-14-15).

2014: First-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection ... Caught nearly every game and hit .301 with three homers and 23 RBI ... Also had eight doubles and one triple ... Had 13 multi-hit games ... Named to the initial Watch List for the Johnny Bench Award, which goes annually to the top catcher in Division I ...  Threw out 19 of 67 baserunners attempting to steal.

Hit his first homer of the season against Illinois (2-15-14) ... Drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning of GSU’s 3-2 win at Georgia with a sacrifice fly ... Hit a solo homer in GSU’s 3-2 win at UALR (4-5-14) ... Delivered a two-run single at Georgia Tech (4-2-14) ... Had two hits and two RBI in win over Savannah State (4-23-14) ...

Delivered two key RBI in GSU’s 5-1 Friday night win over Arkansas State (4-25-14). Drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the sixth and then brought home an insurance run in the eighth with his second career triple.

Hit a solo home run, his third of the season, in a seven-run fourth-inning in GSU’s 15-10 win over South Alabama (4-5-14).

2013: Named to the CAA All-Rookie team ... Became the Panthers’ primary catcher following an injury to senior Scott Sarratt ... From April 20 on, he caught 126 of the 147 innings GSU played ... Batted .296 with four homers and 24 RBI for the season ... Also smacked nine doubles and one triple ... Had nine multi-hit games and seven contests with two or more RBI.

Homered in each of the final two CAA series, with blasts in the Friday night win over Hofstra (5-10-13) and in game one at William and Mary (5-16-13) ... Drove in a career-high three runs with a triple and a sacrifice fly in game two win over the Tribe ... Caught 25 of 27 innings in the Towson series and went 4-for-10 at the plate with two runs and two RBI.

Had two hits and scored five runs in his first start against Butler ... Hit his first home run with a two-run blast at Georgia Tech (2-19-13) ... Drove in game-winning run with a seventh inning single against Grambling (2-22-13) ... Had two hits and two RBI in win over George Mason (3-9-13) ... Also drove in two runs in wins over Old Dominion (3-15-13) and Mercer (3-20-13) ... Belted his second homer of the season at James Madison (4-20-13).
