Georgia State's Cheer Team placed 5th at the 2013 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Championships that were held April 10-14 at Dayton Beach, Fla.
The Panthers competed in the Small Coed (four males or less) Division I section in the national competition.
The University of Central Arkansas defended its championship in this category. Here are the results of the seven teams among the 11 that advanced to the championship finals.

"We hit a clean, deduction-free routine," noted coach Darryl Lyons. "That is all I can ask for as a coach in the judging competition. I am very proud of the student-athletes for pushing through the journey and fighting the good fight. We represented Georgia State well."
