ATLANTA – Georgia State wide receiver Albert Wilson has been named to the 2013 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Wide Receiver Trophy Watch List.
Wilson is coming off a junior season in which he caught 48 passes for 947 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 25.9 yards per kickoff return. He was named Co-Special Teams Player of the Year in the Colonial Athletic Association as well as all-conference at receiver and return specialist.
The senior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., is the leading receiver in Georgia State history with 104 receptions for 2,013 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has averaged 19.4 yards per catch, and all but one of his 15 career touchdown receptions are 25 yards or longer, including seven of more than 50 yards.
Wilson has also been named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt second team as both a wide receiver and return specialist by Phil Steele's 2013 College Football Preview.
