Georgia State baseball players are active in summer leagues across the nation. Here is an update on some of the standout performances thus far.
CADEN BAILEY - The All-CAA infielder is playing for Rhode Island's Ocean State Waves in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). After a 3-for-3 performance Wednesday, Bailey is third in the league with a .438 average, while his six RBI are second. (Cover photo courtesy of David Silverman Photography).
BEN BURNS - Left-handed pitcher Ben Burns has made two starts and three appearances so far for the Fayetteville Swampdogs of the Coastal Plains League in North Carolina, and the rising senior has a 2-0 record with a 1.69 ERA.
JOEY ROACH - Also in the Coastal Plains League is rising sophomore Joey Roach, who is catching for the Wilson Tobs. He is hitting .217 in six starts but has a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate.
GARRETT FORD - The left-handed pitcher made his second start last night for the Harrisonburg Turks of the Valley League. Although he did not earn a decision, he allowed just two runs in seven innings.
JAMES CLEMENTS - An infielder for the Sag Harbor Whalers of the Hamptons Baseball League, James Clements is batting .273.
