CROSS COUNTRY 2015

Began the season with a 4k race in 15:30.29 at Jax State...Finished 4th at Mercer 5k Invitational in 19:31.01...Ran 18:49.68 5k time in finishing 33rd at JSU Foothills...Was third overall behind only GSU teammates in the Berry 6k Invitational in 23:49.73...Finished 28th at Sun Belt Championship in 19:45.40...Ran 23:21.77 in NCAA South Region 6k to place 144th.

OUTDOOR TRACK and FIELD 2015

Ran the 3,000m steeplechase in four events with a top time at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in 11:43.10 in finishing 11th...Ran 12:04.05 in placing 13th at Georgia Tech...Ran the 5,000m one time with a 19:10.59 time in finishing 23rd at Georgia Tech.

INDOOR TRACK and FIELD 2015

Competed in 800m and mile during first collegiate indoor season...Best 800m time was 2:25.42 at Samford in placing 38th with a 2:26.22 in finishing 14th at Birmingham Southern Icebreaker...Ran the mile in one event with a 5:35.55 time at the ETSU Buccaneer Invite in placing 18th.

CROSS COUNTRY 2014

Competed and counted in all seven races as a freshman...Best finish was fourth at JSU Foothills Invite with a time of 18:28...Opening meet of career at WCU Invite was a16th-place effort, with a 19th place finish at Chattanooga in 11:54.28 in two mile event and a 15th place finish at Winthrop Invite...Was 97th of 292 runners at Alabama Crimson Classic...Finished 43rd at Sun Belt Championship meet.

PREP

Four-time regional qualifier (2010-13) and state qualifier in 2013 in cross country at Miamisburg High School in metropolitan Dayton, Ohio...Ran best time of 18:43 in cross country as a senior and 5:08 in 1,600m in track for coach Jennifer Schoenberger...Was Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) all-conference as senior and three-time GWOC South first team all-league...Team most valuable runner final three years...Set school record in indoor 1,600m (5:17)...Set school records in outdoor track with 4x400m relay team (4:02), 4x800 (9:39) and 4x1,600 (22:59)...The 400 and 800 relay teams qualified for regional meet...Earned scholar-athlete award from U.S. Army Reserve, was National Honor Society member and graduated with honors (3.5 GPA or better)...Was Academic All-Ohio pick at the Ohio cross country meet...In track, competed in 3,200m, 1,600m, 800m and with the 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams.

Jordan Lynn Townsley was born May 7, 1996 in Kettering, Ohio, the largest suburb of Dayton...Daughter of Mark and Dana Townsley. Dad is a high school athletic director and mother is a first-grade teacher...Father was wrestler at Miami (Ohio) and cousin (Kirsten Sweeney) was track and field runner at Tennessee...Majoring in exercise science.
