ATLANTA -- Georgia State (29-25, 15-13) will be the No. 5 seed in the the Sun Belt Conference Championship and will open the tournament against No. 4 Georgia Southern (30-25, 18-12) on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET at Troy's Riddle-Pace Field.
The in-state rivals will be playing a fourth straight game after Georgia Southern won two one-run games Friday and Saturday to take the final regular-season series, two games to one.
The double-elimination tournament begins Wednesday. Play will be conducted over five days culminating with the championship game on Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m. ET. All games will be available via webstream on SunBeltSports.org. All weekend games, including Sunday's championship, will be aired live on ESPN3.
