Originally from Gijón, Spain, she moved to Norcross, Ga., in 2012 and has basketball in her blood as her father Ed was a talented basketball player in Spain and played collegiately at Tennessee State … The team captain for her Norcross High School team as a senior, Johnson led the Blue Devils to a 28-5 record as well as the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) class AAAAAA Region 7 championship and a state runner-up finish … During the state tournament, Johnson totaled three double-doubles in four tournament games, averaging 12.5 points and 10.3 rebounds in the playoffs … She has collected multiple honors during her high school career, including earning 2014 All-Region Honorable Mention honors as well as being named a 2015 Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) All-Metro Honoree and a Class 6A All-State Honorable Mention … She also picked up Gwinnett County Second-Team honors, as well as being selected to the Gwinnett Coaches Association All-Star Game and was a Gwinnett Country Senior All-Star participant.
