ATLANTA: Georgia State fell in three sets to Kennesaw State on Monday afternoon. The match was the first on the season for GSU that was not part of a nonconference tournament.

Crystal Lee and Sydney Stroud led the way for the Panthers, each recording eight kills. Kinkaid Padgett racked up 12 digs from the libero position.

The win raised Kennesaw State’s record to 5-1 on the year. The 2016 ASUN champions have collected impressive wins over Clemson and Troy early in the season.

The loss dropped GSU to 2-5 on the season. Georgia State will look to right the ship at the Scenic City Showdown in Chattanooga, Tennessee this weekend. The Panthers will play Jackson State on Friday, and battle SIU-Edwardsville and Chattanooga on Saturday.
